August Illinois State Fair, Springfield, IL

Come taste wines from nearly 20 Illinois wineries inside the Twilight Ballroom from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m. everyday! The Twilight Ballroom also features live entertainment nightly at 7 p.m. from a number of varied and talented jazz, swing, blues, big band, orchestral, and dance musicians. A special tasting of the 2008 Illinois State Fair Wine Competition award winners will take place Tuesday, August 12th at 3:00 p.m. in the Twilight Ballroom.
The Twilight Ballroom is located on Central Avenue directly west of the U.S. Cellular High Dive Show. Admission is free, with sampling tickets available for $1 each. A complimentary wineglass is provided when you buy more than 10 tasting tickets. Wine may also be purchased by the glass, bottle and case from each winery. The event is open to anyone, must be 21 years of age or older to taste the wines.
