In 1855, Emile & Annette Powell Baxter arrived in Nauvoo to join the Icarian movement. After the Icarians disbanded in Nauvoo, the couple stayed in Nauvoo and learned the fine art of growing grapes from their Icarian & German friends. This year the National Icarian Heritage Society will be holding the 40th Annual National Icarian Meeting in Nauvoo. Kelly & Brenda Logan would like to invite you to celebrate our 2nd Annual Baxter Family Reunion and join our Icarian descendants over the weekend of June 27 & 28th, 2008. Both events will be held in conjunction with Baxter's Vineyards 14th Annual Home Wine Makers' Contest.
