Kelly Logan is the fifth generation of Baxters to be in the grape growing/wine production business which was started in 1857 by his great great grandfather. Today Kelly and Brenda own Baxter's Vineyards with includes the winery and Carol's Pies. Kelly is the viticulturist and works in the vineyards and orchards. 

We have seventeen acres on which we grow eighteen varieties of grapes. In the last ten years we have planted different varieties of grapes including several French Hybrid varieties.  We also buy grapes from 3 - 5 local growers. 

We also have four acres of dwarf apple trees with four different varieties.  Customers can either pick their own or we pick at the current price.  We also have fresh apple cider in the harvest season.

Kelly and Brenda are both life long residents of Nauvoo and have one daughter Kim who married Jerry Orth on June 18, 2005 and they reside with Brenda & Kelly in Nauvoo, IL.  Kelly works part-time away from the vineyard/winery.
